Sticky at the Top [Mar. 7th, 2010|04:03 am]
This is my blog for roleplaying.

I keep character bios here (because I have a terrible memory), as well as rants and musings, and finally information about the games I'm running.

Games I run:

All is Fair: A home for all those fairy tale muses.

Dresden Academy: A magical school game within the HP universe for original characters.

Graves Hall: a game of fantasy, magic, and intrigue. Now living on Scribbld.

Beyond the Graves: Graves Hall's little sister.

Subverted Under: a catch all game for characters whose original games have ended. This is a private game.

Current Tags Used in Subverted Under [Feb. 17th, 2008|12:24 am]
[Tags|]

I made some preliminary tags for the community. You can feel free to use them if you like. If you don't mind I'll tag any entries that don't get tagged. If you have a request for a new tag comment here (as I have to make the tag the first time, after that anyone can use the tag).

All of the tags are by location. There's a possibility to use multiple tags, though some would get redundant (most places that are in burnham city don't need a burnham city tag in addition, unless the log/thread happens in multiple locations).

Asylum: the Pleasantview Asylum
Burnham Apartments: the apartment building
Burnham Books: the bookstore in Burnham City
Burnham City: Burnham City at large or in general
City Cafe: a cafe in the city
City Mall: the big city mall with all of your favorite sell-out brands!
Cosmic Diner: in Burnham City
Greek Restaurant: in Burnham City
Pleasantview: anything in Pleasantview

I debated making tags for each character, but we have so many. If you think it would be a good idea let me know and I will make them, but I won't list them. It'll be entirely up to you if we use or make them at all.

Taken PBs for Subverted Under [Feb. 16th, 2008|11:50 pm]
[Tags|]

This is the list of PBs for the entire game.

Once a PB's been used we will try really, really hard not to use it again. Please leave a comment and let me know which characters you aren't using anymore.

Currently the list is divided by female/male. It is somewhat alphabetical by first name (names beginning in A are grouped together and so on).

The City, The Asylum, The Apartment Building [Feb. 16th, 2008|11:46 pm]
[Tags|]

The Game
This game is a little more complicated than it's three predecessors if only for the fact that it's three games in one.

The asylum, university, and apartment building are the main areas of play, though there are many places in the city and in Pleasantview for play.

Subverted Under
This part of the game takes place in the city. It involves anyone who lives there, but especially the people who live in the 11 story apartment building near the heart of the city.

Burnham is the moderately sized fictional city. It is a bustling center of commerce and activity. There are a fair share of tall buildings in the center of the city, including an 11 story apartment building (among other apartment buildings, but this is the tallest). There are two universities, one just outside of the city (a mostly closed, prestigious campus) and one inside the city located in several buildings. There is a mass transit system in place, busses and cabs and a small subway system (that links Pleasantview and the city).

Pleasantview
This part of the game takes place in the town of Pleasantview. In Pleasantview there are the typical small town things (the post office, town hall, elementary schools) as well as a growing community college that competes with Burnham and Heaton Universities.

Pleasantview Asylum
This part of the game takes place entirely in the asylum. It's for the staff of the asylum and its patients. It's situated high on a hill on the outskirts of Pleasantview.

Vacant Apartments in Subverted Under [Jan. 20th, 2008|01:04 pm]

The Lay of the Land

They go like this by floor: apartment one on the second floor is 201. Apartment 2 is 202. There are 4 to 6 apartments on any given floor depending on the size of the apartments. There is only one apartment on the first floor and the landlord (Non-Player-Character) lives there, the rest of it is mailboxes, the office, and lounge. As everyone comments I will stretch the list to fill.

Most of the apartments are high ceilinged (as evidenced by the fact that Kim's bedroom is over the kitchen on the fourth floor). They have a living room, one to three bedrooms, one to two bathrooms, and a kitchen. The first floor, fifth floor, and tenth floor all have small lounges with window views into the city. There are two elevators (they both go to all floors) and stairway access. The front door is key entry, or you can buzz someone in the building to let you in. The eleventh floor is a penthouse apartment. The building is located near the center of our fictional city.

The fourth apartment on each floor is a single. All of the rest are doubles or triples. All of the other apartments on the second and fifth floor are doubles. All of the other apartments on the seventh and tenth floor are triples.

I'll also repost who lives where in case someone is looking for a roommate.

Current Tenants )

Vacancies

These include apartments that have already been lived in and established as having a certain amount of rooms (this is non-negotiable). Please pick a room based on your needs (some single characters may want or use three bedrooms. Whatever works).

Second floor: 201, 203, 205 are all two bedroom. 204 is one bedroom.
Third floor: 301 is a two bedroom.
Fourth floor: 404 is one bedroom.
Fifth floor: 502, 503, and 505 are two bedroom. 504 is one bedroom.
Sixth floor: 601 is a two bedroom. 603 and 605 are three bedroom.
Seventh floor: 701, 702, and 703 are three bedroom.
Eighth floor: 803 and 805 are three bedroom. 802 is a two bedroom.
Ninth floor: 903 and 905 are three bedroom.
Tenth floor: 1001, 1002, and 1003 are three bedroom.
